Canada’s only biodynamic vineyard from inception, SOAHC Estate Wines was asked to participate in an annual dinner hosted by the Sustainable Agriculture Committee of the Lower Columbia Community Development Team Society (LCCDTS).
But SOAHC wasn’t invited just to serve its award-winning biodynamic wines, Chair Gina Ironmonger asked if event chef John Premier could come by to select vegetables from SOAHC’s biodynamic gardens to be served at the gala dinner.
The purpose of the Sustainable Agriculture Committee is to facilitate and advocate for local agriculture and business practices that contribute to the viability of the region.
SOAHC Estate Wines’ natural farming processes support this committee’s goals, contributing to
A viable food supply, natural insect and weed control and overall farming practices that protect the environment, respect animal welfare and promote community involvement all while bolstering the local economy.
